A Futuristic Graduation Tableau for the 2026 Class
Ferenc Hlavács, a class teacher at Arnold Ipolyi Basic School Balog nad Ipľom, commissioned a graduation tableau for the school’s ninth-grade class of 2026. The project involved developing an original graphic composition that brings together the graduating students, teaching staff, school leadership, and institutional identity in one cohesive design.
The concept centres on an artificial intelligence-inspired eye, with the school logo positioned at its core. The students’ portraits are arranged around the central lens, while the principal, deputy principal, and class teachers occupy dedicated positions along the outer edges.
Futuristic interface graphics, custom vector portrait frames, and individual icons establish a consistent visual system throughout the tableau. The design combines the school’s identity and the graduating students’ portraits with a technology-inspired aesthetic created specifically for the class.
Objective
The objective was to create a distinctive graduation tableau representing the 2026 graduating class while incorporating the school’s identity through a contemporary, technology-inspired visual concept. The design needed to accommodate student portraits, staff profiles, names, professional titles, and a graduation quotation within a coherent composition. The central AI-inspired motif and futuristic interface elements provide a consistent visual direction while preserving the tableau’s commemorative purpose.

Impact
The completed tableau presents the graduating students, school leadership, and teaching staff within a unified graphic composition. The central eye motif establishes the visual hierarchy, while the custom vector portrait frames and individual icons distinguish student profiles from teacher profiles.
The school logo anchors the composition, connecting the institution’s identity to the surrounding portraits. The design also incorporates the 2017–2026 date range and the quotation, “I never lose. I either win or learn.” The quotation, attributed to Nelson Mandela in the artwork, reinforces the themes of learning, perseverance, and personal development.
The result is a bespoke graduation tableau that interprets the traditional school portrait format through futuristic graphic design while preserving its role as a lasting record of the graduating class.
Approach
The composition was structured around the AI-inspired eye, with the school logo positioned at the centre and the students’ portraits arranged around the lens. This structure establishes the primary visual hierarchy and provides a consistent framework for integrating each individual profile.
The principal, deputy principal, and class teachers occupy dedicated positions along the outer edges of the composition. The staff members featured are Principal Barnabás Molnár, Deputy Principal Monika Uhrík, Class Teacher Ágnes Škerlec, and Class Teacher Ferenc Hlavács. Their names, portraits, and professional roles are integrated into the overall visual system.
Custom vector-based portrait frames incorporate futuristic interface details, complemented by individual icons for students and teachers. These elements distinguish the different profiles while maintaining visual consistency. The typography, borders, portrait placement, school logo, and quotation form a coordinated graphic composition tailored to the 2026 graduating class.
