A Natural, Distinctive Brand Identity for NAZEL
NAZEL, owned by Ladislav Nagy, is an agricultural business based in Dolinka, Slovakia. Its activities include crop cultivation and the supply of fruit, vegetables and other food products. Public agricultural records document a varied crop portfolio, including wheat, potatoes, cabbage and onions, reflecting the business’s involvement in both field production and fresh produce. Playful Sparkle was commissioned to develop a complete brand identity that communicates this agricultural focus through a distinctive logo, a coordinated visual language and consistent applications across business communications.

The objective was to create a recognizable brand identity that expresses NAZEL’s relationship with nature and agricultural production without relying on literal illustrations of individual crops. The identity needed to balance a distinctive wordmark with botanical symbolism and a suitable color system, then extend these elements across stationery, digital communications and vehicle graphics. The result needed to provide a consistent visual framework for the business and clear guidelines for future applications.

The completed identity establishes a consistent visual direction for NAZEL, connecting its name with a clear botanical symbol and a coordinated set of supporting design elements. The two-leaf emblem gives the logo a direct association with plant growth and cultivation, while the expressive serif wordmark creates a distinctive typographic signature. A complementary palette of botanical green, muted sage, warm cream, earthy brown and charcoal connects the identity to the natural and architectural tones of the business’s surroundings. Together, the logo, typography, color system and supporting assets provide a unified foundation for the company’s stationery, digital communications and vehicle graphics.
The design process focused on translating NAZEL’s agricultural activities into a compact, recognizable visual concept. The logo combines a lowercase wordmark with two asymmetrical leaves positioned above the lettering. Their upward orientation suggests growth and vitality, while their simplified shapes avoid tying the identity to a single crop or product category. This allows the symbol to represent the broader agricultural character of the business.
Typography plays a central role in the composition. The selected serif letterforms combine substantial strokes with curved details, giving the wordmark a distinctive presence while complementing the organic shapes of the leaves. The lowercase treatment supports an approachable character, and the spacing and proportions maintain visual balance between the lettering and symbol.
The wider identity system extends the monochrome logo through a palette informed by the natural and architectural environment of the Dolinka premises. Botanical green and muted sage establish the connection with vegetation, warm cream provides a light neutral base, and earthy brown and charcoal add contrast and structure. These colors work alongside the typography and supporting graphic elements to maintain a coherent appearance across business cards, letterheads, envelopes, email signatures, social media assets and vehicle graphics. The brand guidelines document the system so that the identity can be applied consistently across these different formats.
