A Distinctive Agricultural Brand Identity for ADOREX
ADOREX, owned by Adrián Nagy, is an agricultural business based in Dolinka, southern Slovakia. Established in 1998, with active operations beginning in 1999, the business operates across crop cultivation, specialized pumpkin production and processing, and agricultural services. Its activities connect agricultural land, crop production and the machinery used in modern farming. Playful Sparkle was commissioned to develop a complete brand identity that represents these different aspects of the business through a distinctive logo and a coordinated visual system for corporate communications, digital channels and vehicle applications.

The objective was to establish a recognizable visual identity that reflects ADOREX’s agricultural focus while communicating the relationship between nature, cultivated land and farming machinery. The logo needed to bring these themes together in a clear, cohesive composition, supported by typography, a defined color palette and consistent graphic elements. The wider identity also needed to extend across stationery, email communications, social media and vehicle graphics, providing the business with a unified visual framework for its different communication channels.

The completed ADOREX brand identity brings the company’s agricultural focus into a single, recognizable visual system. The integrated sunrise and gear symbol connects natural growth with the machinery involved in farming, while the layered green forms establish a direct association with cultivated land. A high-contrast wordmark and a palette combining yellow, green tones, blue-green and black provide a consistent visual foundation across the identity.
These elements extend into stationery, digital communications and vehicle applications, giving ADOREX a coordinated presentation across its business materials.
The design process began with an assessment of ADOREX’s agricultural activities and the visual concepts that could represent the business beyond a conventional agricultural symbol. Rather than depicting an individual crop or piece of machinery, the logo combines three related ideas: the rising sun, cultivated land and the mechanical systems used in agricultural production. This approach reflects the relationship between natural growth and the work required to cultivate and harvest crops.
The central symbol replaces the letter O within the ADOREX wordmark. A yellow gear forms the upper part of the emblem, with its rounded teeth suggesting the rising sun while introducing a mechanical reference. Beneath it, a blue-green semicircle and layered green field shapes create the impression of a sun appearing above cultivated land. The different layers give the symbol depth and establish a visual connection between agricultural machinery, sunlight and vegetation. Integrating this emblem directly into the business name keeps the graphic and typographic elements closely connected rather than treating the symbol as a separate decoration.
Typography provides the structural counterpoint to the more organic shapes. The selected serif lettering uses pronounced contrast between thick and thin strokes, giving the wordmark a strong, formal presence. Its restrained black appearance also maintains clear separation from the colored emblem. The balance between the established letterforms and the simplified symbol allows the identity to combine a distinctive typographic character with recognizable agricultural imagery.
The wider identity system builds on the logo’s visual language through a coordinated palette of yellow, green tones, blue-green and black. Yellow establishes the sun and gear as the dominant accent, while the greens reinforce the connection with vegetation and cultivated fields. Black provides contrast and supports legibility across different applications. Typography and supporting graphic elements extend these principles into business cards, letterheads, envelopes, email signatures, social media assets and vehicle graphics. The brand guidelines consolidate the components into a documented system, supporting consistent application across ADOREX’s communication materials.
