Migrating Mäsiarstvo Lugner’s Online Store to New Hosting
Mäsiarstvo Lugner is a family-run butcher business with a long-standing tradition of producing sausages, salamis, bacon, and other meat specialities. Alongside its physical stores across Slovakia, the company operates an online shop at lugner.sk, where customers can browse its product range.
The business approached Playful Sparkle to take over the technical management of its existing online store and migrate the supporting infrastructure to a faster, more secure hosting environment. The project covered the existing WordPress and WooCommerce website, domain, and email services, with a focus on completing the transition smoothly and minimizing downtime.
Objective
Move the existing WooCommerce store and its associated domain and email services to a new hosting environment while preserving the established online store and minimizing service interruption. The project also established the technical foundation for Playful Sparkle to manage the webshop and its supporting infrastructure.
Scope of Work
Impact
The migration was completed smoothly, with downtime kept to a minimum. Mäsiarstvo Lugner’s existing online store, domain, and email services were transferred to the new hosting environment without requiring a complete rebuild of the website.
The transition preserved the established product catalogue and category structure while moving the infrastructure supporting the webshop and business communications. It also established a clear technical management arrangement for the ongoing operation of the online store.
Approach
The project focused on transferring the existing WordPress and WooCommerce installation rather than redesigning or rebuilding the storefront. Playful Sparkle handled the hosting and server setup, domain transfer, DNS configuration, and email migration required to move the webshop and its associated services to the new environment.
The migration was coordinated to minimize service interruption while retaining the existing storefront, product listings, and category structure. Once the website and associated services had been transferred, the new hosting configuration provided the basis for continued technical management of Mäsiarstvo Lugner’s online shop.
