Heatmap: Seeing How Users Interact

A Heatmap is a graphical representation of data where values are depicted by color, showing the most and least engaged areas of a webpage.

Heatmaps take the guesswork out of UX design. “Hot” areas (red/orange) show where users are clicking and looking the most, while “Cold” areas (blue/green) show what is being ignored. There are three main types: Click Maps, Scroll Maps (how far down they go), and Move Maps (mouse tracking).
